Its another night when both met up for a casual dinner... he suggested heading down to Billy Bombers for a bite of the American dream and she agreed... together they walked into the nicely-furnished American restaurant... the place was decorated with sparkling red PVC upholstered seats with a disco ball at the ceiling, spinning mirrored lights and rock & roll in the 40s-style American settings.. Bringing the nostalgic past amid the present... much to the delight of both...

they each ordered a special dinner set meal... with big and chunky golden brown American fries... woah... they were simply delicious.. The desert of the day was chocolate ice-cream... "The ice-cream tastes heavenly... with the chocolate so pure and rich... its the best chocolate ice-cream I have ever eaten...” he said as a satisfied smile with brightened eyes shine on his face... she smiled sweetly at him... thinking that he was such a child at heart.. Seems so easily satisfied with a scoop of heavenly chocolate ice-cream... and indeed, the chocolate was really rich and yummy... with a rich taste of cocoa yet not over-empowering...

It was a breezy night... with the crescent near the other end of the reservoir... loving couples strolling in the background... they were not alone... he felt a sudden stir in his heart as he admired her lovely face in the moonlight... and how much he wished to hold her hand.. He tried to keep his breathing in rhythm yet it seems to make him felt even more breathless...

"Are you alright...” she asked softly as he looked lost in his thoughts...

"Yaaa...I'm... I'm alright...” he answered. He couldn't help but to reveal an awkward smile, yet struggling to act as cool as before...

Suddenly, he stopped his pace... turned his body right towards her... and grabbed both of her hands... they felt just as soft as they looked... "Can you be my girlfriend? I promised that I would love you forever... till the day that you choose to leave... Will you give me the chance?" the clarity and sincerity in his voice seems to have awakened this quiet night that belonged to only the two of them...

She felt a sudden hot flush on her cheeks... as she looked away shyly... smiling sweetly inside...

He felt really nervous... taking another deep breath, he turned her body towards him and asked "Will you be my girlfriend...please..?"

"Ok...” she answered softly...

"Really!!?.." he couldn't believe his ears...

She looked up... into his eyes...and said... "Yes... it’s true...”

Their eyes met... and he couldn't control his happiness anymore... he hugged her tightly, and said "I promised that I would treasure and love you forever... these I promise you...”

As they were strolling towards her place, he felt ecstatic... his heartbeat had never slowed down since the moment she said "Yes"... her angelic voice kept repeating in his mind.. He saw a few passerbies and couldn't control his excitement anymore... "She had agreed... hey... she had agreed...!!!" he shouted loudly yet never let go the hand that he always wanted to hold...

she felt shy as she pulled him back and said.. "Hush hush...”

Their eyes met again... and their lips locked... sealing the excitement and blossoming love between them...
